on tuesday, Jac brought packets of home cooked kuching laksa to work
she was on leave but she took a cab from home to bring us her mom's cooking
how could we not eat
i'll tell you, my office is one jumble of politicking but at the same time,
one bundle of ....... i'll just say friendship.
i couldn't make sense of them. one minute they hate each other, the next minute, they are spontaneously supportive of each other. i don't blame my boss for being puzzled and always like tip toeing on tight rope. anyway, i must tell you, jac's mom specially made the noodles for us.
the noodle is none other than the authentic kuching kolo mee, springy, chewing and has egg fragrance.yummy. the laksa gravy tasted more like curry, but light curry. shredded chicken. not heavy to the taste, so it's just lightly nice.
SY asked me why i keep taking photos on food. i said not just food, i am taking "生活点滴" trickles of life. i mean,, these are little things that make up an otherwise mundane day.
i have made a point to make a footnote on all the nice things and learn from all the not-so-nice-things in my life.
laksa will remind me of Alaska. she told me many people call her laksa. not as a joke but they thought she mis-spelt her name. goodness gracious singaporeans.
then my cousin told me, when she worked part time in a chinese restaurant in australia, many patrons pointed to her that they mis-spelt laksa on the menu, they said it should be alaska.
at least that is pardonable cos they are not asian and may not be familiar with a local dish. so much so for Laksa and Alaska.
